ARCHITECTURE FIRM:
While I was working for ODA Architecture, as a senior interior designer, I designed the lobby and amenities of this 911-unit rental building, located in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Bushwick is an evolving, industrial area marked by imaginative street art and converted warehouses that are home to artist studios and artisanal coffee shops, breweries.
When we develope the amenities' programs & design, we tried to promote and incorporate this local arts and specialties by collaborating with the local artists and brewmasters. We gave commition to these artist to recreate these unique and vibrant arts in the interior space. We programed brewing & cooking classes so that the tenants could learn from local masters at the same time, to enhance the sense of community. We also tried to communicate the unique, artistic and industrial characters through materials, forms and design.
